lack of updates.
We've been working on songs, and shit. Looks like we wont be recording until the start of next year. The Native Wisdom full length will be 7 songs. Everything is wrote, just working on getting things tight.
After Native Wisdom is out, we'll be putting out the "Entering the Northern Hemisphere" 7"
so

Talking about shit.
Well we're done writing for the Native Wisdom album. Its gonna be 8 songs, unless something changes before we record it. We're pretty stoked on this album, I can't wait for everyone that likes us to be able to hear it. Both the demo tapes, sounded so raw, that you couldn't really tell what we sounded like, without knowing the songs from seeing us live. So its going to be nice to have this much better recording out for people to hear. I'm just working on the last bit of the lyrics. We're not sure what we're doing for art work, we have a guy in mind to do artwork for us, but since we've put off asking him, and given we want to have this out sooner, rather than later, we might end up doing something else for the art work, and have him do artwork for the album after this, or a shirt or whatever. Other than that, nothing much is going on, nothing booked show wise. We've got two side projects going on, and it looks like the end of the year will see both of them play gigs. Tok'ra will be playing live, maybe before the end of the year, if not, we'll be back live next year, with the new album out. We're planning some touring next year. Hopefully we can get the album out to as many people as we can. Thats it, cheers, and I'll post when needed.

Fridays show went over well, a big thanks, and cheers to anyone that watched us. We played a new song called "Rise of the Machines" from our upcoming full length Native Wisdom. People seemed to love it, I had a few people come up and say they were really stoked on the new track, so that's always awesome to hear.
We're back to working on the album now, and don't have anything booked as of right now, but I'm sure we'll play a few more shows before the end of the year.
As for Native Wisdom, its coming along very well. We have 7 songs finished, and a few more in the works, so its almost done being wrote. More post when needed.

Tok'ra
Okay so we changed our name a few times over the last few days. This is our new name. Thanks to everyone for liking povver, but there is another power and we're moving forward using a name we don't have to share with another band. cheers and thanks. see you soon, with new music, and shows
It was time, and it had to happen, so its done. Still working on the new full length, its coming along fantastic. we're really stoked about it, and can't wait for everyone to hear it. I think if you've liked the past demos you'll love this full length even more. We're playing clarion, pa Oct. 21. More info posted later.
Thanks,
Tok'ra

Not a lot to talk about with the band right now. We're working on new songs for a full length, trying to find a band to work with so we can do a split and thats about it. Nothing booked show wise. the Summon Eternal Magic demo tape is sold out. We're talking about making more, we'll see what happens. Will report back when needed.

Last nights show was a fantastic one. Most likely our very best set ever, playing wise, sound wise, people being in to us wise, everything was right on, and it felt great. We have about 5 tapes left of the first run for the Summon Eternal Magic demo, so if you want a copy you can order one from our store, or grab one in person. We're gonna be making more, so don't worry about not being able to get a copy. We're not going to press them to CD after all. The tape will stay in press for the rest of the year most likely, or until our full length comes out. Thats what we're working on now. We don't have any shows booked, so most of our time will be going towards writing the full album. When news comes I'll post about it, hails.

Next show, and more
Skull fest was fantastic. We played first all weekend, it was cool to get things started, and people seemed to really like us, sold demos, traded some, and had an overall great weekend. Can't wait for next year.
Our next show is this friday in Oil City, we'll have tapes, and I'm gonna try to get the cds ready for this show. After that, we don't have any more shows booked.
I've started to write for our next release. I have one song just about finished and a few more riffs I'm working on.
We're thinking of doing a full length next.
Thats all for now, hails.

Well every band has them from time to time, and we did this past Friday, what we had was a really shitty show. To start things off, my guitar blew up/ stopped working before we even got to start playing a song, lucky someone was kind enough to let me use a guitar head, so we could play. Now this wouldn't have sucked as much, but I just got this guitar head fixed around two months ago. They head/combo amp I ended up using wasn't that great at all, and my guitar sound was pretty much awful. We still played the whole set, and before it ended Justin put a hole in his bass drum to add to the already mess of a set. Like I said happens to every band, and it sucks, but we'll be back, better than ever.

After yesterdays jam, its fair to say our new demo/ep will be ready for skull fest in Aug. Musically its done, just tuning things up a bit. I just gotta finish the lyrics and its ready to be recorded. We did a test recording yesterday, it came out pretty damn awesome. I'm really happy with how it sounds. Like I said before, 4 songs, 3 new songs.
So,

2.Death Kappa
3.Burn The Church

short update
I've been busy working on new songs, and our one show booked for June didn't happen for reasons I don't want to post about. But things are picking up again. King Rat and I got together and worked on some new tunes yesterday and its coming along really awesome. We're gonna have a new ep/demo out for Skull Fest in Pittsburgh Aug. 12. I'll post more info when I have it for the fest, but from what I know this is going to be the best time ever. don't miss it.
The new ep/demo will have 3 new songs and a re-recording of Frozen. I have a name for it but I'm gonna wait a little bit to post it. I haven't named all the new songs yet, so I'm gonna wait on that as well.
Hails,
Aaron.

jams of the past week or so and small infoless update
POVVER has some shows in June, I had Justin text me the dates, but I deleted them, so I can't remember when they are. Oopppps. My bad. Anyways, we have some shows coming up, thats sweet. Working on new songs as well and the tape is out, as you saw in the post below.
My Playlist over the last week or so,
Embrace Of Thorns - Atonement Ritual One of my favorite death metal albums, maybe ever. So dirty, dark, raw, evil and massive. The riffs are simple, but not boring, the vocals are crushing. Basically has everything I look for in death metal. I've had a burned copy since it came out, but finally grabbed a legit copy last week. worth it. Oh and the cover art is fucking great! google that shit. then buy a copy for Nuclear War Now. They have the cd for 5 dollars.
Sabbat - Live in ThailanDemonslaug ht Live Sabbat, pretty raw recording, but a great set. Play tons of awesome songs, and mix in some pretty cool solos. Just started really getting in to this band, and already love them so much. NWN has this on cd for 5 dollars as well, and its limited to 1000 grab one.
Battlemaster - Warthirsting & Winterbound PoVVer played with these dudes and they were all really cool guys, also helps that they make some really awesome music. This is the full length from a few years ago(2007) and its pure crush. Skull caving riff age. Blend of progressive black metal and death metal. Some fantastic riffs on this thing, sweet lyrics. New LP is coming out at some point I've been told. Can't wait
Wolvhammer - Black Marketeers of World War III Really overlooked record that came out last year. This should be a band people are talking about. Crust/Black/ Sludge mix and done really well. It fucking rips. One of my favorite things about this is the recording itself, the prefect recording, it sounds like a band playing in a room together, more bands need to go with this type of recording. Another band that knows how to write a fucking riff. I have a feeling people are going to start to come around to these dudes if they keep this up.
Immortal - All Shall Fall, Pure Holocaust One of my top five favorite bands ever. I like all the albums, but I've been listening to these two a ton lately. The kings of the dark riff. HAILS.
Thou - Tyrant Although I've been a fan of Thou for awhiie, I never owned any of the music. Got a copy of this monster last week. Sludge music with punk attituide. This is another one of those bands that does it all right, recording sounds real, lyrics are fantastic, riffs are massive, and artwork is the icing on the cake. They have a ton of splits eps and 3 LP's google that shit for more info and free downloads of a lot of the music.
I've been working on new poVVEr songs so I try to mix up what I'm listening to. Cheers.

Secrets of the Moon Temple

So after a really long time, we finally recorded our first demo last night. 7 songs. Basically the songs we've been playing at shows over the past few months or whatever. We're all super stoked to have something recorded.
It was recorded stright to tape, using a boombox and a pair of headphones, live. It sounds much better than you'd think, its super raw, and for real, my favorite recording I've ever been a part of. I can't wait to have copies for people to pick up.
Not only does it rule that we finally recorded these songs for people to be able to hear at home, but it really rules because now we can move on from them and start working on new music.
We already have tons of new ideas, and songs that are just about finished or pieces of songs close to being done. So we're for sure planning to have more new music way sooner rather than later.
We're looking to do a few splits this summer. Hopefully if everything goes as planned we'll have about 3 or 4 splits out.
So the demo tape titled "Secrets of the Moon Temple" will be out on May Friday the 13th and cds version will be coming out later on.
Total cheers,
Aaron.

two shows coming up later this month. 24th and 29th. I'll post info when I have it. We're hoping we'll have our demo tape out for these shows. We're also planing a small run of demo cds, for people that would rather have that. Both will for sure be around for summer shows. We're working on patches and stickers as well. Also, this week we're working on new songs for another demo, or maybe a few splits we're gonna try to do. cheers for now,

riff ideas, cheers and fist
We have two shows booked right now, one in March, and the other in April, We're looking for the demo to be coming out for that April show. More info on both of those, when I know more.
Norm and I got together last night for a real quick look at some riff ideas both of us have for the next batch of songs. things are getting more heavy, slower, faster, and darker, so its coming along pretty well. We just want to demo out the first set of songs, so we can move on and start working on newer, better tracks.
Thats it I'll update when I feel like it, no one in the world even knows about this blog, so I'm talking to myself.
Cheers.

Power played a show a few weeks ago, I forgot to post about it here. Everything band on the bill was fucking awesome, Battlemaster, Infernal Stronghold, Wrathcobra, Oh Shit They're Going To Kill Us, My bass gear was shit, so that sucked, but we played a new song before it fall apart.
Who knows when anything is happening again.
