power update.

Things have been pretty slow with Power lately. Mostly all my gear is fucked up in some way or another, but things are getting dealt with, so I should have my shit back, and or new shit, rather soon. We're gonna be recording a demo tape within the next month, if all goes as planned. It might be more than the 6 songs we were planning. We have a few new ones, and if they can come together in time, they might make it to the demo. Hopefully Jan. is a better month for us as a band.

Cheers,
Aaron.

The Moon Farm show was wild as shit. I had the best time of my life. Most of my bass gear is fucked, so I'm not sure when we'll be able to record, and play again. Hopefully soon. Updated when needed. thanks and cheers.

Up next is a house show, right at home. Moon Farm/Power Plant. Nov. 20th. The line up of bands is still being worked out, will update when I know for sure who is playing. We're hoping maybe, just maybe, we'll have the demo ready for this show, heres fucking hoping.

We're playing first so come early. We're trying to get our demo recorded this month as well, so hopefully that will be out real soon. As well as a t-shirt sometime in Dec.

We're also writing more songs for another demo, or full length for sometime next year to come out.

I didn't vote today. It's hard to vote when they all look the same, sound the same, speak the same, and what we're going to get is more of the same.

Power had a fantastic jam today. Getting things tight for our first show. I thought I'd drop another blog about more history, of me, and power.

I've been listening to metal, punk, rock n roll, and hardcore for just about ten years now. It's been the biggest part of my life for the longest time. Since my family didnt have a computer until I was 18, the first few years of getting in to music, I did it the old way, buying cds, reading the thanks list, writing down band names going to record stores looking for said bands, picking the ones with the coolest cover art and best song names and buying it.

I've been playing in bands since I was 15/16 years old. Norm, who plays guitar/vocals in power and I have been playing music together on and off since then. Our first real band we did together. We've kept that going all these years, and power is the next step.

All of my old bands were have fun, every single band I've ever done was a style of music I enjoyed and I went for it. Some bands only lasted a few shows, some lasted a few years, a few demoes. Both Norm and I still have another band, outside of Power. Most people reading this know. Bad Moons are, and will always be a band. Thats awhole other story.

POWER.

All these years of playing and POWER is something I've always wanted to do. I'm not sure why it took this long to happen.

Our line up is trio, we like it that way. Our goal, is to write tons of music, play as many shows as we can, and write more songs. Writing music is just about the most fun I can have. Power has got me focused on writing. I've been riffing out every single day, working on songs, riff ideas, song lyrics, vocal parts. I'm in love with this band. I'm fucking stoked on it, people should be stoked on the music they make. It's also got me stoked on other music again, there was a point for awhile that I wasn't even that excited on music. I slowed way down on buying new tunes, and hardly listened to what I had. I'm back to being really stoked on the old and new. It feels good to be back in the mind set.

This rant has no point. Music fucking rules. Playing music is fucking awesome.

Power jammed tonight and it was a blast.

Until later,
Aaron.

Power intro..

Band name: POWER

Members:
Norm - guitar, vokills.
Justin - drums, rattail.
Aaron - bass, vokills.

I have a new band. This blog is about that band from my view point. I have a bad memory, so its basically for me to remember shit about the band. I'm letting people read it just incase someone cares to know what I think about all things POWER, and for that matter all things that have anything to do with me.

It's only been close to 6 or 7 weeks since we started jamming together( I already forget the dates we started) and it feels like its going to be the best band I've been apart of.

I plan on keeping this updated all the time, with everything about the band. And since I'm writing lyrics and singing some of the songs, I'll talk about my influences on song lyrics.

We have our first show booked. So its already starting up.

Until later,
Aaron.
